“…I begin each piece with ecological printing processes in multiple layers, a slow process in which painting begins through fluidity and observation, almost like visual jazz. I combine burn marks, smoke, coloured pencils, watercolours, gold leaf, and sewn fabrics, and I even bury some canvases so they can interact with the earth, always accepting unpredictable results.”
